Business Analytics and Systems Advisor (PO2)

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for Business Analytics and Systems Advisor (PO2) on a 3 month contract with a possibility of an extension.

This position will be a total of 35 hours per week, with hours from 09:00am – 17:30pm.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

• Work closely with colleagues across the HR service to implement a digital improvement programme, streamlining HR processes and ensuring a seamless service delivery for our customers.
• Ensure the integrity and maintenance of the organisation’s establishment on the HR systems. Carry out data control exercises to ensure that information input on the HR/Payroll system is consistent and correct either from purpose run reports or as a matter of routine when dealing with specific projects.
• Ensure the maintenance and updating of the Org.Manager application and that appropriate access is open to managers and staff within the Council.
• To provide training and support to the HR Team in the use of the Resource Link system (RL) as well as new users of the system within the organisation. Create and Provide training manuals/documentation to support training.
• Ensure the addition or amendment of background data such as service conditions, location set up, new grades, work patterns/rota’s as and when required.
• Create, maintain or obsolete posts when required, maintaining post titles, grades, cost centres and the ‘post to post’ hierarchy.
• Ensure data is input correctly on RL and kept up to date thus reflecting correctly on MyView. Monitor input anomalies and provide training on a one to one or team basis to ensure accurate inputting as required.
• To support the implementation of major upgrades including the testing processes. Ensure that on-line errors in the HR log are dealt with promptly or escalated if a technical fault.
• Maintain Agency records, creating posts and making amendments as directed by the ‘Dashboard’ and manually adding Agency records where upload has failed. Support an effective agency worker dashboard reporting by ensuring the dataflow between the 3rd party supplier and the Council is accurate.
• To respond to queries related to HR Systems or data analytics.
• Taking responsibility for data changes on the system such as re-organisations. Ensure that structural changes are entered on the HR systems in a prompt, efficient and effective manner.
• Support Freedom of Information requests received meeting statutory timescales and guidelines.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience of analysing data to produce statutory reporting and business insights within a large organisation.
• Use of an HRIS and analysing and presenting data in understandable terms.
• Experience of using Business Objects or other database interrogation tools to ensure accurate data extractions.
• Experience of supporting system developments and upgrades.
• Knowledge of information systems including HR and Payroll systems.
• Knowledge of local terms and conditions of employment in Public sector.
• Advise and support the development of HR information systems and procedures and the best use of IT.
• Highly numerate with the ability to produce, analyse and interpret data.
