Digital engagement manager

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for Digital engagement manager on a 2 month contract with a possibility of an extension.

This position will be a total of 37 hours per week, with hours from 09:00am – 17:30pm.

Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Business Engagement, the Digital Business Engagement Manager is responsible for improving LCC Services through Digital Innovation by establishing and developing relationships with customers and other partners, and ensuring Digital Services enable business change by responding to demands and services requested from LCC and other Digital Services customers.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

• Provide high level strategic advice based on a breadth and depth of experience of the council’s services and how Digital Services’ offerings can support business objectives.
• Shape and optimise the digital related change portfolio and ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organisation, ensuring the buy-in of all stakeholders.
• Use significant level of judgement, to translate business practices and processes into demands for Digital Services products or projects.
• Guide and Steer Digital Services’ project priorities by liaising with LCC Services at a strategic and operational level to ensure all needs are met.
• Maintain excellent high-level ‘peer’ contacts and build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business activities and business drivers, business benefits and high-level business requirements.
• Planning, implementation, control, review and audit of service provision, to meet customer business requirements
• Negotiating, implementing and monitoring service level agreements
• Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
• Identifying future trends and their impact on service delivery – for example – technical, market, industrial, socioeconomic, legislative or sustainability targets.
• Identifying stakeholders and analysing the relationships
• Agreeing on mutually beneficial outcomes
• Managing, monitoring and improving stakeholder relationships
• Determining the relationship management approach to take – including roles and responsibilities, governance, policies, processes, tools and support mechanisms
• Getting commitment to action through consultation and consideration of impacts.
• Combining formal and informal communication channels to achieve the desired result
• Operational management of stakeholder relationships and communications.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Honours Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
• ITIL Foundation
• Significant experience in supporting, designing or delivering digital services in a public sector organisation
• Experience of leading, inspiring and motivating teams to drive services forward, achieving high quality delivery within reducing resources
• Experience of providing expert advice on all Digital Services technologies and service offerings to colleagues at all levels of the entire organisation.
• Experience of overseeing the provision of specialist advice by others. Consolidating expertise from multiple sources, including third-party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives.
• Experience of maintaining a network of recognised experts (inside and/or outside the organisation) who can deliver expert advice in relevant areas.
• Experience of negotiating service level requirements and agreed service levels with customers.
• Experience of effectively monitoring service delivery and identifying actions to maintain or improve levels of service.
• Experience of ensuring that service level agreements are complete and cost-effective across the catalogue of available services.
