Health and safety Team Leader (L4Z2)

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for a Health and safety Team Leader (L4Z2) on a 3 month contract with a possibility of an extension.

This position will be a total of 36 hours per week, with hours from 09:00am – 17:30pm.

As a Principal Environmental Health Officer within the Public Protection Service your focus will be on health and safety issues. The role will require you to take personal responsibility for the effective investigation and resolution of complex casework and to lead on all regulatory health and safety matters.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc/MSc or Diploma in Environmental Health and be EHRB registered as an Environmental Health Practitioner or hold relevant Health and Safety qualification with appropriate enforcement experience
• Excellent working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework relating to health and safety and relevant experience in its application to casework, including enforcement
• Organised approach to your own workload whilst dealing with conflicting priorities and a focus on delivering excellent customer service
• Able to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, and able to contribute to service improvements
• Understand the importance of accurate data and be able to manage information securely
