Landlords Advisers (PO3)

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for Landlords Advisers (PO3) on a 3 month contract with a possibility of an extension.

This position will be a total of 35 hours per week, with hours from 09:00am – 17:30pm.

Job Purpose:

To be the main contact point for private sector landlord and agents to provide advice and guidance on landlord management issues, ensuring good communication links are maintained with landlords and agents.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

• To have responsibility for initiating and developing a range of services for the purpose of promoting good practices amongst landlords and agents.
• To be responsible for organizing and facilitating Council events, which promote good communication and consultation links with the private sector.
• To be aware of changes in government policy, government led targets and Council priorities when developing new or administering existing schemes.
• To work with internal sections and external stakeholders to ensure that landlord’s and agents provide quality housing management services.
• To undertake marketing and campaign work, which will promote Council run schemes and initiatives to maximize service delivery.
• To represent the Council at meetings and events, to actively participate and contribute for the development of the service.
• To assist the Procurement and Development Team as when required in the procurement of properties for the Council’s housing schemes and initiatives.
• To be responsible for maintaining performance monitoring systems for internal and external bodies, which demonstrate performance and to recommend measures for improvement.
• To establish the highest professional standards for the Private Sector Partnership Team.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• 11 years experience working in a related field.
• Knowledge of the housing market and the numerous schemes available from Local Authorities to house vulnerable clients in housing need.
• Ability to provide advice, to negotiate, consult and network with a wide range of business and public service partners in order to achieve a successful partnership.
• Ability to think laterally and creatively, in developing new initiatives.
• Ability, to use on-line computer systems to maintain and update business processes to enable financial and service monitoring to be carried out.
• Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate appropriately with internal and external partners.
• Ability to present information in a methodical and analytical manner.
• Ability to research, market and promote services and schemes including facilitation of events.
• Ability to adhere to the Council’s Dignity for All policy.
