Communications & Project Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Communications & Project Officer on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities:

To develop and deliver a comprehensive engagement and communications plan to support the client’s strategies with both internal and external audiences. To work seamlessly between the appropriate team and the external affairs team to ensure a joined up approach which maximises impact across this complex programme of work.

• To lead on the development, management and delivery of an outward facing communications and engagement programme to ensure that local people and other key stakeholders are informed, listened to and involved in the client’s work.
• Work with colleagues in the communications team and wider external affairs team to ensure delivery of communication and engagement activity, and ensure consistency of message
• To manage the client’s resident engagement, including driving behavioural change and public campaigning activity.
• Working with the web team and communications team, help develop the client’s digital work, including of the website and other digital platforms
• Raise awareness of the client’s work by preparing information for the public through their digital and print media, as well as contributing to public campaigns to inform and change public behaviours
