Climate Action Strategic Lead

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Climate Action Strategic Lead on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

The Climate Action Strategic Lead will be assigned work streams from our client’s Vision 2030 strategy that are large, complex and high stakes with programme wide significance and senior officer and/or member exposure. The role will focus on developing our client’s engagement and partnership approach internally and externally. The Climate Action Strategic Lead will take personal responsibility to work very closely with work stream senior responsible officers to deliver the commitments and actions that support achievement of client’s climate action ambitions. They will work with passion, energy and drive, whilst working with a significant degree of autonomy.

Requirements:

• Experience of designing and implementing effective strategies.
• Experience of leading or managing change projects.
• Ability to think and act strategically – diagnosing challenges, designing responses, and leading coherent and coordinated actions
