Housing Allocations Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Housing Allocations Officer on a 3 months contract with the possibility of further extension.

Purpose of the job:

• To administrate the client’s Lettings policy, facilitating the allocation of all available new build properties.
• To work closely with client’s construction New Homes team Voids and Lettings and the applications team in coordinating the marketing and allocation of the new homes.
• Co-ordinate a joint working approach with internal partners to ensure all residents in the area have the opportunity to apply for the new homes.

Main accountabilities:

• Attend meetings with the relevant project officers to make sure the correct information is made available for the allocation of the up and coming phases.
• Liaising directly with Voids and lettings to make sure the correct property information is received
• Update property information to make properties offerable and resident information to ensure the correct residents are included for consideration in the local lettings area.
• Working closely with the applications team to make sure all eligible residents are correctly verified and active for bidding within the relevant cycles.
