Independent Chair – Transformation and Improvement Board

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for an Independent Chair – Transformation and Improvement Board on a 3 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension. The Chair will be required to attend the bi-monthly board meeting. The role will require a commitment of approximately 2 days per month.

We are looking for an exceptional senior leader to provide who has experience at CEO level of a Local Authority or equivalent. You’ll be an independent representative on the client’s Transformation and Improvement Board and attend the Boards in your capacity as Chair. We are looking for a senior leader who had led improvement, transformation and held financial oversight of an organisation and wants to bring a fresh perspective to the role of Independent Chair. You will be innovative, confident, and consistent in providing independent advice, support and constructive challenges to partners and organisations.

The Transformation & Improvement Board serves as the central authority for strategic oversight and decision-making across all organisational-wide transformation initiatives and will have oversight of the delivery of the Peer Challenge action plan. It drives the transformation and improvement plan so that it operates at maximum effectiveness to ensure that transformational workstreams and associated governance groups get clear strategic leadership and guidance.
