Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Payroll operations consultant on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.
The client is looking to engage a payroll consultant. The key task is creating an a payroll operations manual for ‘as is’ operation of the client’s monthly payroll of circa 5,000 payees.
The person would work through with the payroll team understanding and documenting the process and operation steps that achieve a successful monthly payroll run from inputting into the system (starters/leavers, pay changes deductions etc) to posting the transactions for near 5,000 payees to the finance system with the associated sundry reconciliations and cross checks that are done.
The principal contact for the candidate would be our client’s payroll manager, but there would be engagement with other team members as required and potentially members of the client’s HR team. The candidate would therefore document the ‘as is’ processes and create a written payroll operations manual as the finished output from the assignment
In order to be successfull, it is required that you have local authority experience.
