Senior SEN Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Senior SEN Officer on a 3 months contract with the possibility of further extension.

• To be the single point of contact for these families and they will need to be able to communicate with these families, manage their cases and complaints.
• To take a lead in liaising with schools, partners and other settings to garner relevant information for these cases.
• To chair, lead and attend meetings with these families or about these families.
• To provide regular updates to senior managers regarding these families.
• To respond to and investigate complaints from and relating to these families. As the single point of contact to have first hand knowledge about these families at any given point in time.
• To create and develop a repository of information relating to these families.
• To provide input where necessary to the wider team for example if another child in one of these families might require a needs assessment.
• To support the Tribunals process for these families and attend the Tribunal if required.
