Strategic Programme Lead Communities

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Strategic Programme Lead on a 3 months contract with the possibility of further extension.

Main purpose of the role:

As a member of the client’s senior management team, to contribute proactively to the collective leadership for the client, working collaboratively with Members, services across the client’s area, partners and stakeholders to deliver the client’s objectives and priorities. Lead by example in modelling and embedding the client’s values and behaviours to help build a sustainable highly effective organisation and develop our client’s reputation as a successful unit delivering great value. Provide outstanding leadership and direction to the service, to support the development of the internal capability internally and externally ensuring excellent joint working with Members and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• To help shape the ongoing development and embedding of the client’s focus on Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion as part of the wider Communities action plan
• To Lead the implementation of the EDI Performance goals framework as set out in the EDI Strategic action plan 2022 – 2025
• To help deliver interventions to close pay gaps to ensure that our workforce reflects the communities we serve.
• To Lead the delivery of the Anti-Racist Action plan
• To provide a professional internal consultancy service on performance, data, strategy plans, policy and general queries, working proactively to design and deliver solutions to meet the clients needs and key objectives.
• To lead the agreed programmes and projects, defining the critical success factors, and ensuring key deliverables are delivered and are assessed for effectiveness.
• To develop an approach to evaluation of the program including identifying suitable metrics and developing a measurement plan
• To prepare appropriate management information and present to senior leaders from all organisations.
• To bring world class best practice and use it to apply and promote equality and diversity initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders

Requirements:

• Experience working in a large, complex organisation and co-ordinating work across multidisciplinary departments and external stakeholders.
• Evidence of leading, delivering and embedding innovative and transformational cultural change across a complex organisation
• Relevant experience of driving and embedding organisational strategies and initiatives
• Project and programme management
• Relevant experience in, governance and performance management and improvement in line with the clients Framework
• Project and programme management delivery
• Experience of building and sustaining relationships with internal and external partners.
• Experience of working at all levels to influence culture and change
• Proven ability to manage political and cultural issues and project, programme and change management programmes.
• Ability to develop strategies
• Ability to deploy advanced interpersonal skills to inspire, motivate, coach and develop team members to high levels of performance.
• Advanced relationship and stakeholder management skills and skilled in written and verbal communication to influence and engage others effectively.
• Desire to work with communities and willingness to better understand our communities needs through co-production
