ADULT SOCIAL CARE – Support & Safeguarding Social Worker

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Support & Safeguarding Social Worker on a 1-2 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities:

• To assist vulnerable adults to be protected and safeguarded and are effectively managing their own risks and capacity.
• You will respond to customer’s needs without delay, identifying and working to tackle obstacles as they arise and undertake interviews, Mental Capacity Act assessments, observations and gather information from adults, informal networks and other agencies to analyse summarise and evaluate the information to provide a holistic assessment of needs, balancing risk and protective factors.
• To work in an integrated setting with other parts of the organisation and with third party sectors

Requirements:

• You must have a thorough understanding of current legislation and how it applies to the work of the profession including understanding the prevailing needs, whilst to always promote the best interests of service users and carers. You must be able to assess a situation, determine its nature and severity and take the requisite action based on knowledge and experience.

• The post holder must be able to assess a situation, determine its nature and severity and take the requisite action based on knowledge and experience.
• Enhanced DBS & barred list check
• HCPC Registration
