Assistant Director Strategy, Equality and Communities

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director Strategy, Equality and Communities on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the client’s strategy, equality, communities, and participation and engagement functions.

The post holder will lead work around developing the vision and priorities for the client through articulating a narrative, setting out how the client responds to the challenges ahead. Ensuring a shared vision exists which drives the activity developed collaboratively with partners, staff and the community.

The post holder will work with colleagues to drive cultural and system change in the way the client engages with communities through the policy process and to ensure this engagement is reflected in the decisions made.
