Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a 3 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.

You will be working on the programme of capital works projects (including education, housing and corporate buildings) and will need to be able to scrutinise the financial and contractional aspects of your allocated projects from inception to completion. Some local authority experience is an advantage but not essential.

A broad background would be advantageous, i.e. a mix of professional, contracting and Local Authority.

You need to show experience in leading on the financial aspects of projects, cost control, estimating, contracts and contract administration.

You will need adhere to agreed project timescales and be self-sufficient. Finally, you will be required to demonstrate your experience of progressing multiple programmes/projects through to completion.
