Benefits Subsidy Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Benefits Subsidy Officer on a 3 months initial contract with the possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities of the role:

  • Undertake work on the Housing Benefit Subsidy by completion of subsidy workbooks including detailed manual calculations.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on the Housing Benefits, Council Tax.
  • Assist accountants, internal auditors and District Auditors during the annual subsidy audit with particular emphasis on explaining benefit calculations/payments in order to justify that payments have been made in line with Benefit legislation reduction .
