Highways Asset Manager

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new permanent opportunity for a Highways Asset Manager.

About the role:

In this role, you will be leading an asset data led approach to manage the development and maintenance of the multi million pound Annual and long term plans, including the co-ordination and development of asset inventory data for all assets, condition data, deterioration modelling, lifecycle plans, whole-life costs and service levels to meet national standards. You will develop, monitor and review our client’s Asset Management Policies and Strategies and ensure that appropriate data is collected and interpreted in a timely manner to influence decisions and support a proactive performance management culture. The role is key in ensuring the long-term planning of the authority’s highways assets; owning, developing and ensuring we deliver the requirements of our client’s Highway Asset Management Framework, Highway Asset Management Strategy; Highway Asset Management Policy; Highway Asset Management Plan (which will replace the NMMP); and Highway Asset Management Procedures, supplemented by Acts of Parliament, Statutory Instruments, Regulations, codes of practice and standing orders.

About you:

As the successful candidate, you’ll have extensive experience within the Highways and Transport sector, together with developed knowledge and understanding of Asset Management software, industry codes of practice, processes and procedures. You’ll be a commercially driven leader who can deliver this service and fully integrate principles of whole life asset planning.
