IT Manager

Working on behalf of a a leading manufacturer specializing in advanced engine testing solutions, we are actively searching for an IT Manager to support our client’s ambitious expansion goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Maintaining equipment, applications & perhipherals including backups.
• Manage contracts with 3rd parties, renewals and license/subscriptions.  
• Liaise with 3rd Party support companies, where applicable
• Support for both the Server estates and the User PC’s and peripherals. Including patching and keeping systems up to date.
• researching, evaluating and recommending new hardware, applications etc. that would improve client’s overall IT infrastructure. 
• Managing and implenment new I.T Projects

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of: Microsoft Active Directory and Windows server systems, Windows Client Operating systems, hardware / software and drivers and the ability to attempt repairs where necessary, Microsoft Office 365/ Azure, Sophos Central End Point Protection, or similar application;
• Beneficial if you also have knowledge of: Unix, MacOs, Android, Networks (TCP-IP), (VPN) (Wi-Fi); Microsoft SharePoint / Teams, Sage accounting products, Solid Works CAD products, IP Telephony, ERP systems, Cloud Storage, Cloud Applications and Cloud Servers, Legacy Windows systems.
