Software developer

Working on behalf of an authentic client, Aatom Recruitment has a new permanent opportunity for a Software developer.

You will have (at least two years) experience in software programming and be looking to further your career as a software developer. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a successfully completed apprenticeship are desirable but not essential if you can demonstrate the required level of skills.

The business:

Our client is a leading developer and supplier of weighbridge software and process weighing systems in the UK, supplying to several sectors including mining, waste, grain & quarrying. They have been established over a number of years

Role:

Based in our head office in Alcester, the successful applicant will join an existing team working on developments for specific clients and will be required to travel to assess clients’ requirements and develop bespoke software to meet their needs. The role will include the development of new web applications, Mobile Apps, Desktop Apps and provide second line support for existing clients.

Skills:

• Knowledge of VB.net
• Appeon, Powerbuilder, Delphi
• Some experience with ASP.NET or another major web development language Knowledge of SQL. It would useful, but not essential, to have knowledge of SQL server.

You will be able to demonstrate drive, energy and self-motivation, and you will be conscientious and show attention to detail. You must be able to communicate clearly and understand briefs and instructions, and, with experience gained, be able to estimate your own timescale to complete projects. A full driving licence is essential.
