Stock Condition Manager

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for a Stock Condition Manager on a three months contract with the possibility of an extension.

The Stock Condition Manager (SCM) role is vital to the start of the capital programme process. Data is collected by our client’s stock condition surveyors and input into MRI. The SCM then assesses and maintains the stock condition data for 22,000 properties both externally and internally. Our client uses this data to form the vast majority of the capital programme on a 3, 5 and 30 year basis. The capital programme component of the 5-year HRA Business Plan is also reliant on this data in order for us to provide costings to the HRA.

The data is also used by GPH via Orchard, including the contact centre assisting queries from residents, Leasehold Operations providing Section 125 details of upcoming major works/renewal dates, and Maintenance teams in our Estate Offices accessing the data to inform their decisions.

The role also includes identifying blocks and units requiring Decent Homes surveys and starting this process, benchmarking and KPI reporting, liaising with teams including M&E to maintain up-to-date stock data as well as working with teams to record completed capital project completion information.

It is and will be a factor within the development and regeneration schemes where our client will need to record and update the stock condition data for the new properties so these can be factored into their capital programme in the future. The role is vital to providing adequate data to form the capital programme to uphold client’s values for it’s residents by providing them with a safe and decent place to live.
