Valuer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Valuer on a 3 month contract with a possibility of an extension.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
• Knowledge and experience of providing strategic property advice and working within an organisation delivering property related initiatives.
• Ability to manage external contractors to ensure excellent service delivery and value for money.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting the client’s duties in relation to finance and property holdings.
• Detailed knowledge and experience of property law and practice, asset management planning (particularly in a local authority context), valuation techniques (particularly development appraisals and asset valuations) and of best practice in disposals and joint venture arrangements.
• Sound knowledge and experience of partnership working.
• High levels of creativity and problem solving abilities, when dealing with complex and highly sensitive situations.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting the client’s duties, in relation to finance and property holdings.

Desirable:

• Degree level education
• Experience of working in Local Government and in particular experience of dealing with high profile and politically sensitive issues and presenting reports to committees and other stakeholders
