Weights and Measures Inspector

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Weights and Measures Inspector on a 6 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities:

* To be a qualified weights and measures inspector with recent (within the last 2-3 years) experience of undertaking weights and measures inspections both retail and non-retail environments.

* To undertake Weights and Measures inspections for partners for five boroughs

* To be the lead on legal metrology for the five boroughs and investigate weights and measures complaints and respond to service requests from businesses

* To undertake and complete weights and measures inspections in other local authorities as required

* To review and sign off laboratory calibrations

* To undertake peer audits and address non conformities in the quality policy.

* To work with the metrology technician to completed air quality tube work as well as weights and measures work.
