Homeless casework and performance Manager

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Homeless casework and performance Manager on a 3 months contract with the possibility of further extension.

Purpose of the Job

To act as a designated lead within the Project and Change team by developing and working on the project management of service improvements in line with the values of the client. To manage the Casework Support team, setting and ensuring they meet their targets. Undertake research commissioned by the Housing Solutions service to ensure the trailblazer project and the Homelessness Reduction Act related work achieves best value through cost analysis and predictive modelling.

Main accountabilities

• Accountable for the production of projects, performance reporting, data monitoring and analytical research reports for the Unit. The role requires the ability to provide recommendations and commentary on ways to improve the service and current performance.
• Accountable for the line management responsibility of four Casework Support Officers and delivering on the team’s responsibilities.
• To be a lead point for the Project & Change team on the provision of a robust and effective performance management system that ensures data quality is auditable and verifiable and acting as a contact point for service performance.
• To support the Housing Solutions services policies and reports by providing data in the formats requested and developing new reports where identified with the agreement of relevant parties.
• Develop reports to analyse the services functionality in comparison with other boroughs.
• To ensure that the Housing Solutions services stakeholders are clearly identified and that co-operative, professional, collaborative relationships are developed to improve performance.
• Ensuring that the work and processes of the housing solutions service are effectively operated in order to contribute to the client’s objectives.

Requirements

• Knowlege of Housing and homelessness and the problems they are facing
• Awareness of the role of service development, data quality and performance management
• Experience of disseminating information and giving advice
• Excellent IT skills to produce, collate and disseminate detailed technical information in a format easily understood by service users and staff
• Ability to use computer systems including word processing, spreadsheets and databases for correspondence and reports
• Ability to gather, analyse and interpret complex information and exercise judgement to make recommendations for improvement
