Housing Supply Team Leader

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Housing Supply Team Leader on a 3 months initial contract with the possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities

• To provide, customer focused support and promote independence amongst vulnerable individuals/families to enable tenancy sustainment
• Line manage the independent living officers and community independent living officers undertaking relevant induction, appraisals, supervision, training and annual leave monitoring.
• Dealing with recruitment, supervisory meetings, performance, conduct, sickness, disciplinary and grievance and other issues relating to the client’s employment procedure
• The planning and deployment of staff to ensure scheme services can be delivered.
• To plan, organise and allocate the work of the team and efficiently manage resources to ensure that an efficient and effective service is provided having due regard to time-scales and strict deadlines.
• To assess and allocate referrals for community independent living officers
• To ensure the workload for frontline staff is monitored and evaluated.
• Ensure support services to service users are delivered as part of the service delivery requirements and arrange/provide cover as necessary.
• Oversee the completion of individual service users support plans and hold regular service user surgeries.
• To assist housing management in the delivery of viewings, sign up and formalizing of prospective tenancies.
• To monitor and deliver quarterly reports to meet kpi’s (key performance indicators)
• Ensure the housing independent living service provide data to assist in void management, minimize turnover time and facilitate prompt hand back of vacant sheltered and general needs units

Requirements

• Good basic standard of education, including GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
• A good level of computer skills including use of Word, Excel, Power Point and Databases
• Experience of working within a supported housing environment and delivering intensive housing management
• Experience of managing staff teams
• Experience of developing initiatives to reduce isolation and promote health and well-being including disability forum
• Willingness to undertake further appropriate training
• Demonstrating a commitment to deliver excellent customer services and ensuring fair access to services and developing partnership working
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of issues faced by lone workers
• Experience of carrying out risk assessments
• Experience of working with or knowledge of delivering services to vulnerable individuals
• Experience of delivering key performance indicators
• A high level of verbal and written communication skills
• Use of a car for work is desirable
