Programme and Project Management Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Programme and Project Management Officer on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.

Main purpose of the role:

To manage programmes and projects that are deemed as important for achieving the client’s strategic priorities, contributing to the achievement of client’s plans. To use best practice methodology to ensure programmes and projects are delivered on time, scope and budget.

Main responsibilities:

• Collating the buildings capital programme and management tracker.
• Collating the project pipeline.
• Research and preparation of Good Practice Notes, Guidance and templates
• Reviewing internal systems and processes
• Monitoring project performance – budget, programme and quality.
• Working with Project Managers to collate risk management plans.
• Collecting and critically analysing data and preparing dashboards.
• Developing KPIs for projects and analysing performance data.
• Production of written and numerical reports

Requirements:

• Experience of managing buildings projects across the full range of RIBA stages.
• Management of consultancy and contractor performance.
• Highly IT literate- Excel, MS Project, other systems eg Verto desirable.
• Project and programme performance metrics
• Experience/understanding of JCT /NEC contracts
• Other RICS/RIBA/CIOB qualification.
• Project/Programme Management Qualification
