Senior Policy Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Senior Policy Officer on a 3 months contract initially with the possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities:

• Initiate, plan, direct and coordinate activities and ideas to manage and implement Housing Insight and Service Improvement Projects from proposal or feasibility through to final implementation.
• To oversee any research projects within the Housing Insight and Service Improvement service to make sure there are clear outcomes for customers
• Development of effective partnerships with customers and other internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed on progress where relevant.
• Carry out customer insight and analytics projects, reporting where required in conjunction with the Housing Insight and Service Improvement Manager
• Engage with operational services, stakeholders and partners to ensure commitment to improving service delivery through effective project management.
• Manage the development of project teams to ensure that they meet their objectives and address any issues as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Experience of managing Housing Improvement projects, working to time, budget and quality in a large organisation.
• Experience of working with housing services (desirable)
• Demonstrate past knowledge of using customer insight to shape services and identify service improvements
• Experience of using project management techniques to deliver both outputs and outcomes in a large organisation
• Experience of working with colleagues to enable them to meet personal, organisational and project specific objectives.
• Experience of managing a mixed and varied workload of conflicting priorities responding effectively to the needs of all customers.
