Quantity Surveyor

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor on a 3 months contract with the possibility of further extension.

Main accountabilities:

• Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing quantity surveying and commercial services for the Capital Programme team to ensure Tasks and the Term Programme are delivered to budget.
• The Quantity Surveyor will work within the Commissioning Team, which is responsible for all pre-construction activities associated with the Capital Programme.
• The Quantity Surveyor will work collaboratively with other team members and the Service Provider(s) to ensure the successful design and commencement of projects (Tasks) in accordance with any Commencement Order and delivering value for money in the services provided by the team.
• Duties will include ensuring delivery of logical and annotated information to assist Lessee Operations in the Section 20 process and billing including advice on lessee implications to Client Representatives when preparing scope of works, production of estimates and upon completion of PCAF’s.
• The Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to help manage an exciting range and stock portfolio of 21,000 properties, and work on a Term Partnering Contract with a value of circa £50m per annum.
