Senior Address Management Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Senior Address Management Officer on a 3 month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities:

• To ensure the maintenance of the Street Naming and Numbering, Local Land & Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and the Local Land Charges (LLC) system
• To maintain and assist in the development of processes and systems with a co-ordinated view across the division to meet the changing demands of the client.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Promote the LLPG in the client
• Attend as appropriate regional user groups relating to NLPG/LLPG and Street Naming & Numbering matters
• Assist the Team Manager, including in the provision of training and quality control
• Work alongside the Assistant Address Management officer with regard to LLPG and Street Naming and Numbering matters
• Assist the team manager with the integration of the LLPG with other client systems
• Provide support and advice to users with regard to the technical aspects of the LLPG and LLC systems
• Maintain records relating to the LLPG national standards and data entry conventions
• Ensure the integration of the LLPG maintenance with Street Naming and Numbering processes
• Carry out site inspections as necessary to retrieve address intelligence to update the LLPG records
• Ensure business process documentation is maintained and kept up to date
• Develop and implement enhancements to procedures
• Liaise with other client departments as necessary on all system and process matters

Essential requirements:

• Knowledge of LLPG and Street Naming and Numbering Procedures
• Experience of managing data consistency on large corporate systems
• Experience of the LLPG/NLPG and Naming and Numbering in line with BS7666 data standards
• Experience of maintaining high levels of customer care, dealing effectively with complaints
• Experience of evaluating data including resolving conflicts between information from different sources
• Technical knowledge of GIS and the ability to read maps and plans
• Ability to deal with queries from staff and the public, including people who may be irate and/or distressed.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all respects of the recording and supply of data
• Possess a good standard of written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and respond to unplanned changes in priorities and resources.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to manage, document and administer work efficiently and in a manner that supports shared responsibility for tasks
